Delete Airtable Records with AutomationJun 13, 2022
Deleting records in Airtable isn't something you should do often. Most of the time, it's preferable to archive data instead of delete it completely. However, there are instances where deleting records does make sense. For those scenarios, wouldn't you prefer to have an automation delete those records for you?
This tutorial walks through how to build an automation that does exactly that! As I demonstrate here, this is a simple four-step process:
- Trigger the automation (I use a button push in this example)
- Find the record from the trigger
- Iterate the next step for every record in question
- Delete records!
To accomplish this, we have to go outside the Airtable environment and use one of my favorite automation tools, Make!
